My healing journey started at the age of 15 years when I lost my father, he was 38.  This tragedy stunted my emotional growth, sent me into a depression, and created unhealthy coping skills. As I got older and through a variety of life transitions, therapy exposed me to a variety of modalities I now use today in my practice.

Attempting to navigate my grief, I attended multiple therapy sessions firstly due to the loss of my father and later due to multiple miscarriages. During this journey, I learned to heal past wounds and let go of survival stargates that were not serving me anymore. Most importantly, how to connect to my heart and be there for myself.  My therapy journey from heartache to healing inspired me to gain further understanding and pushed me to achieve a second master’s degree in family therapy. I also obtained training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Masters level Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM).

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a MS Family Therapy from Friends University, a MS School Counseling K-12, and a BS in Elementary Education from Emporia State University. I am a certified EMDR therapist.  I have worked with individuals and families for the past 25 years.
